West Essex receives BCME designation for 10th year
Posted on 04/08/2024
For the tenth year, the West Essex Regional School District has been recognized with the prestigious title of Best Communities for Music Education by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM). The Best Communities for Music Education (BCME) Award is a signature program of The NAMM Foundation that recognizes and celebrates school districts and schools for their support and commitment to music education and their efforts to ensure that all students have access to music as an integral component of a comprehensive education.
West Essex joins the ranks of only 975 school districts nationwide, and one of just 65 in New Jersey, to receive this esteemed honor. Heartfelt congratulations are extended to the music students and educators of West Essex whose commitment to music enriches our school community each day.
This achievement is made possible through the steadfast support of the West Essex Board of Education, Superintendent Mr. Damion Macioci, our valued and dedicated administrators, teachers, staff, students, parents, and engaged community members. Their collective dedication underscores the profound value placed on music education and the arts within the West Essex community.
