Student Representative to the Board of Education

The West Essex Board of Education recently adopted Policy 0143.2 which authorizes a student representative as a non-voting representative at Board of Education meetings. Congratulations to Lucas Sabol (12th) on being elected as the first Student Representative to the Board of Education. In early November, five students from the 11th and 12th grade successfully completed applications. All five students submitted campaign videos to be distributed to the entire student body. All five students have my respect and admiration for their courage to publicly campaign for this new position. After a schoolwide election with 877 student voting, Lucas Sabol is the first student to officially be the voice of the student body to the Board of Education.
