Dear West Essex Community:

I’m pleased to share that, for the twelfth year, the West Essex Regional School District has been honored with the prestigious Best Communities for Music Education designation from the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM). This recognition, part of The NAMM Foundation’s signature Best Communities for Music Education (BCME) program, celebrates school districts and schools that demonstrate outstanding commitment to music education and ensure all students have access to music as an essential part of a well-rounded education.

This year, West Essex is among only 999 school districts nationwide, and just 69 in New Jersey, to receive this distinguished award. Congratulations to the music students and educators of West Essex, whose dedication and passion for music continue to enrich our school community each day.

This accomplishment reflects the unwavering support of the Board of Education, Superintendent Mr. Macioci, and our dedicated administrators, teachers, staff, students, parents, and community members. Their shared commitment highlights the importance of music education and the arts within the community.

Best regards,
Lisa Swanick
Supervisor of Fine, Performing, and Practical Arts
