Our Baby Think It Over Program is in full swing and is operating through our senior health classes. Our school is fortunate to have this program that allow participants to experience the many responsibilities required of the caregiver of a new infant. Each student will get an idea of the time, effort, responsibility, patience, and care involved in parenting. Approximately 26 students per week will be participating in this simulation throughout the next two marking periods.
This program will require the participant to carry around an electronic infant simulator. The infant simulator will cry according to its 24-hour schedule and will require the participant to feed, burp, rock, and change the diaper. The goal is for the student to have an authentic experience of how this role will affect their life.
