CAD 3 Students look at faculty and student work at School of Architecture and Design

Mr. Shea's CAD 3 - Introduction to Architecture class took a field trip to the New Jersey School of Architecture at the New Jersey Institute of Technology on Thursday (12/6) and had an in-depth discussion about architecture and design with the Associate Dean for Academics, John Cays. After the discussion, the group toured the Architecture and Design building viewing student and faculty work as well as the model shops and design studio spaces. While on the tour they talked with faculty and current students to get the feel of what it is like being an architecture and design student on a day to day basis. The day ended with the West Essex students sitting in on final reviews of the NJIT student's semester-long projects, experiencing the virtual reality simulations that the students created, and viewing all of the drawings, models, and sketch work that is presented and critiqued during architecture final reviews. In attendance were senior Artur Kardash, juniors Stefano Convertino, Ryan LaPare, Nicolas Maffucci, Dominic Lombardi, Matthew Tabatneck, Vincent Rubino, Michael Graffa, and sophomores Justin Turpan, and Seth Katz"
