West Essex Marching Knights Compete at MetLife Stadium

The West Essex Marching Knights, under the direction of Director of Bands, Eddie Griffin, performed at MetLife Stadium on October 2 at the USBands Yamaha Cup Competition. The Knights secured 2nd Place in their competitive group, with their performance of "Captured", featuring original music compositions by Frank Sullivan and Ryan Watson, and visual design by Christopher Burbank. The Knights have made a strong return to the competitive field, after a year of limited performances due to the pandemic. Griffin, in his first year of teaching at West Essex, said, "I am proud of the commitment to excellence demonstrated by the Marching Knights and West Essex band community. Our students, staff, and volunteers continue to impress with every rehearsal and performance. I am fortunate to have the opportunity to lead this wonderful program and continue to work to the end of our season.".
The Marching Knights and the West Essex Band Boosters will be hosting the Tournament of Bands Chapter X Championship Competition on October 24, beginning at 12pm. The public is invited to enjoy an afternoon of great music, entertainment and competitive spirit. Tickets are $10 for adults, and $8 for students and seniors.
