The West Essex High School Guidance Department hosted their annual College Fair on October 1st. The event was packed with students from West Essex (and surrounding schools) and tons of colleges and universities.
“We had over 330 students attend and over 110 colleges, universities, and technical schools,” said Guidance Director Lisa Hulse.
Hulse also explained that a new program called “Strivescan” was implemented this year, which helped colleges and students share information faster. Specifically, Hulse explained that Strivescan allowed “students and college reps [to] share information instantly through individual QR codes. This program also helped the Guidance Team monitor who attended the fair and identified institutions that were big hits among our students: Penn State, Syracuse, and University of Florida being favorites!”
