"Congratulations to the two teams from Mr.s Shea's Power Mechanics class that have qualified for the STEAM Tank Challenge Finals. Both teams recently gave Shark Tank-like presentations to a panel of industry experts explaining a sustainable new invention that they have come up with. One group proposed an all-in-one multitool made out of recycled and sustainably sourced materials while the other proposed creating solar panels that also serve as driveways and walkways for homes and buildings.
The students involved are Elise Linn-10th grade, Jason Calick-11th grade, Mauro Ferrovecchio-12th grade, Andrew Ibrahim-12th grade, Joe Mihalik-11th grade, and Matthew Pilch-12th grade.
These students will continue to develop their inventions and create prototypes in order to present their final designs later this year for a chance to win scholarship money. For more information on the STEAM Tank Challenge, click here
