Service-Based Clubs

Cooking for a Cause

The Cooking 4 a Cause Club kicked off in 2016 and has since grown to include nearly 100 participants! The primary cause of the club is giving back to those in the community with the use of food.  The club hosts bake sales, food drives, and extramural cooking classes to enable them to donate to many deserving causes.  Some of the organizations that have been helped are:
  • Make-A-Wish Foundation
  • March for our Lives in support of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School
  • Mount Pleasant Animal Shelter
  • Toni's Kitchen and St Thomas Moore Church
  • Adopt a Soldier Food Drive

The Club membership requirements included a $20.00 club fee and 7 hours of volunteer hours.

Official Key Club Website

The Key Club is a national organization of Grade 9-12 students who participate in a variety of service activities to benefit their schools and communities. The organization is sponsored by Kiwanis Clubs internationally. The Caldwell-West Essex Kiwanis Club sponsors both the Key Clubs at the High School and at the Junior High.

To become a member of the club, you must be recommended by one of your teachers. Club requirements include attendance at meetings after school and participation in at least one service activity. The club has a variety of fundraising projects during the year that you will be asked to support. Local projects and activities are decided by the members of the club. The club members visit local nursing homes and hospitals. Each Spring the new officers and members attend the Key Club Convention in the Poconos with over a thousand other "Key Clubbers" from New Jersey. In June the club sponsors "kiss a senior good-bye.:
